What is your Gamertag?
StrongTrocity
What team are you representing?
Spain 1
Short Bio
Tell us about yourself?
My name is Christian "Strong" R. and I'll be the manager for the first Spanish team in the EuropaHalo Nations Cup.
What made you want to start competing in Halo?
I remember my father gifted me an Xbox 360 with a copy of Halo 3 for my 10th birthday. I'll always thank him for that. I would be playing campaign and fun customs there and at Halo Reach/4. When Halo 5 came out, I was hungry for something else so I started getting into tournaments.
Nations Cup
How does it feel to be representing a nation in a Halo tournament?
It feels good to be the influence I have built over the years at the European Community. The Spanish community is small and never has gone out of the country like this way. I'm glad more people have felt inspired by my example and joined the competition. My team will try its best to put Spain where it deserves to be.
Teams were announced on Twitter a week before the tournament. Do you feel your team has had adequate time to prepare?
I knew who I was going to choose, so I contacted them and built the team with enough time.
What is the biggest challenge you see ahead of you in this tournament?
The majority of players are in a good shape, and there is always an insecurity. But we feel we can at least make it out of the group stage.
Who are you most excited to play against and why?
Portugal and Spain have always been healthy rivals in the past. They are good people and we feel it will be fun to play against them.
Who on your team is grabbing the Sniper? Rockets?
Probably Catinx. He has a good skill with Sniper.
Who is your playmaker?
MortalJuggler is my guy. He is very polivalent, knows how to move around the map and will always be there to finish the team kills.
Final Slayer Game is tied 49-49, What is the play?
The team holds tight and looks to each other. We look for an assist opportunity, where at least 2 players are involved, and 1 help the other get the final kill. There is also an opportunity of a sneaky kill with a long sniper/pistol shot, or a weak enemy flank.
What would it mean to win the Nations Cup to you and your team?
It would show that we have improved personally and as a community. It wouldn't be the first time, as Karma H2 won a very tough EuropaHalo FFA and he hasn't got the recognition he deserves from the Spanish community.
Rapid Fire
Favorite Halo game?
Halo 5 has been the game I have grown with. It's been 4-5 years and I have enjoyed every minute I played it.
Favorite competitive Halo map?
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I love Coliseum. I like the competition its design brings up to the game.
Favorite competitive Halo game mode?
I have always loved CTF. I am an objective player.
Favorite competitive Halo weapon?
I like how the magnum has changed the gameplay, but I kinda miss the Battle Rifle.
If HCS Pro Talk were to visit your home country, where is one place we’d have to eat?
You are all welcome to Madrid. I will be the tour guide around the best restaurants, and I'll show how good the beer, the Spanish Paella, and the Squid Sandwich are.
What is one thing you need to have in Halo Infinite?
I want a good community environment. I think we have kinda lost the spark around. I have seen a lot of personal conflicts between players, including myself and a few Spanish players. I miss the peace and It is all I want in Halo Infinite. I am sure it will be an amazing video game.
