Its June already! This is the second Evolved Digest article, and boy do we have some exciting news for you about episodes that just released, as well our coverage plans for the upcoming Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. So without further delay, lets begin!
Podcast Evolved
May was another exciting month for Podcast Evolved, continuing on the Road to Infinite with our discussion on multiplayer with special guests from HCS Pro Talk, Josh and Will. It was a great conversation about what Halo multiplayer is, where it started, and where it is going with Halo Infinite.
Character Dossiers also continued to dive into the most important characters of the Halo universe with a deep dive into everyone’s favorite Forerunner monitor, 343 Guilty Spark. We explored the origins of the character, where his journey has taken him, and whether he may return someday in the Halo media.
Of course covering Guilty Spark when we did was no accident. Late in May we had the honor to sit down with the voice of 343 Guilty Spark himself, Tim Dadabo, to discuss Halo, how Tim got involved, hear some great stories about his life being a voice actor for Halo, and a little bit of a chat about the future of his character. Be sure to check that episode out, it is really fantastic!
Halo Book Club
The Halo Book Club continued our dive through all the Halo lore with a discussion on the short story Blunt Instruments from Halo: Evolutions. Releasing in 2009, Blunt Instruments was the first appearance by Spartan Black Team, and, at least according to Aaron, is the best Black Team story in the entire Halo universe. Be sure to check out the episode on the podcast feed and YouTube.
To catch up on Halo Book Club, and to listen to future episodes, you can find Halo Book Club on the main Podcast Evolved feed on most podcast services. And for those looking for a little more on the visual front, all Book Club episodes can be found on our YouTube channel as well!
Mission Debrief
There isn’t much to report on the Mission Debrief front just yet, but for those following on YouTube you should be seeing the final season of MD hitting the feed right now with Halo Wars 2. Once YouTube and the podcast feed are all caught up, 20 for 20, the new Mission Debrief mini-series leading into Halo Infinite is due for release on both YouTube and the podcast feed in mid June. We don’t have much else to share just yet, but keep your eyes peeled for all new episodes very soon.
Builds with Blocks
Build with Blocks released two episodes on the podcast feed in May, discussing the Flood sets as well as predictions on what is coming in the Fall for Mega Construx. Both are great episodes and we highly recommend you check them out immediately!
Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase Coverage
With the Xbox Games Showcase featuring Halo Infinite rapidly approaching, Podcast Evolved has released our schedule for both watch parties and post-show coverage. To keep the number of hosts per stream to a manageable number, we will be livestreaming two separate watch parties, one hosted by Krysta and crew, and one by the HCS Pro Talk guys and featuring Oran. Both streams start at 12:30pm ET, and go through the show.
Following the showcase, there will be two post-show discussions on what we saw for Halo Infinite. The first, dubbed Red Team, will go live on Discord at around 3pm ET, and the second, dubbed Blue Team, will go live around 5pm ET. Both will cover all the Halo goodness from the showcase, as well as go into our initial thoughts and predictions on Halo Infinite for later in the year.
To make sure you don’t miss any of our coverage, be sure to keep an eye out on our socials and community.
That is all for this month! Be sure to keep up on the latest Podcast Evolved content on our website, YouTube, your favorite podcast app, and our social media. June looks to be a huge month for Halo, and we hope you dive into the new Infinite news with us this month and going forward through Halo Infinite’s release. See you on the battlefield soon!
