Short Bio
Tell us about yourself?
My name is Peter Brussee also know as Morguhhh. I’m 24 years old and I started playing Halo 3 somewhere around 2008. I used to play with my friends from my neighborhood called Otown. HuntingErik and Ir Rubio brought there Xbox’s over regularly to play Halo. We were all big fans of the game. All of us previously quit Halo when the bloom in Halo Reach was introduced.
What made you want to start competing in Halo?
My brother (morguhh12) and I didn’t know anything about the competitive scene in Halo. We used to watch the old MLG competitions on MLG.tv back in the day. In 2017, my brother bought me an Xbox to play MCC. “Pete, we can play halo 3 again!!!” he said. (Without knowing anything about the 2.2 million dollar prize pool of the first worlds in H5). After climbing the high ranks in MCC, we realized that most people moved to Halo 5, since we couldn’t find any games anymore on MCC. So we gave Halo 5 a shot. We didn’t like Halo 5 at first until we saw what a potential this game had. During matchmaking, my brother and I got asked to compete in a weekly online tournament. That is when we found out that big money was involved in the competitive scene. The rest is history.
Nations Cup
How does it feel to be representing a nation in a Halo tournament?
It feels really nice to represent the Netherlands with our old OTown squad. We haven’t spoken to each other for ages. Due to Covid 19 the squad came back together.
Teams were announced on Twitter a week before the tournament. Do you feel your team has had adequate time to prepare?
We all have a very busy schedule, and a busy life. We trust in the old synergy from 2008, or what’s left of it.
What is the biggest challenge you see ahead of you in this tournament?
We have some challenging opponents, most players we face have spend more time on halo 5 last year alone, then all 4 of us have combined. If my brother and I manage to get Ir Rubio and HuntingErik back at their prime level, we could potentially surprise some people.
Who are you most excited to play against and why?
Belgium. We want to beat our southern neighbors.
Who on your team is grabbing the Sniper? Rockets?
We do not disclose our strategy in advance.
Who is your playmaker?
Our coach Verburg.
Final Slayer Game is tied 49-49, What is the play?
Ask for a time out so we can discuss our strategy.
What would it mean to win the Nations Cup to you and your team?
It would be nice, it might be a reason for HuntingErik and ir Rubio to continue their Halo legacy.
