SUMMARY

The UNSC Spirit of Fire enters the Epsilon Indi system at the tail end of the Harvest Campaign.  Discovering the Covenant have found the location of colony world Arcadia, the Spirit of Fire leaves to defend Arcadia.  During the Battle for Arcadia, Professor Ellen Anders is kidnapped by the Arbiter Ripa 'Moramee and he leaves Arcadia for an unknown location.  The Spirit of Fire follow, and end up at Shield World 0459, an artificial Forerunner planet.  The Covenant forces attempt to commandeer a fleet of Forerunner vessels docked at Etran Harborage, but they are stopped by the Spirit of Fire using its slipspace drive to destroy the entire shield world.  The Spirit of Fire and its crew survive, but are left drifting in space without any way to get home.
