SUMMARY

Following the end of the Human-Covenant War, the Office of Naval Intelligence created a team known as Kilo-Five, to fan the flames of civil war within the Sangheili.  While the Arbiter and his forces were the primary faction within the Sangheili immediately following the war, ONI feared a quick recovery by the Sangheili could mean a restart of the war and the destruction of Earth.  To help mitigate this risk, Kilo-Five helped supply the Arbiter's enemies, the Servants of the Abiding Truth, with weapons to even the odds in the Sangheili civil war.  During this mission, Sangheili Jul 'Mdama stumbles upon ONI and the Servant's plan, but is captured by ONI and sent to ONI Research Facility Trevelyan for study.
