Summary
CLASS: CAS-class assault carrier
DIMENSIONS: 5.3 x 2.1 x 0.75 km
DESTRUCTION: Apr 2559
Though less well-known than other CAS-class assault carriers such as the Shadow of Intent, the Enduring Conviction was still a supremely powerful vessel that served as the flagship of the Banished in the years after the Covenant fell. Following several years of service as a Banished vessel in an unknown number of engagements, it was destroyed through the work of the crew of the Spirit of Fire and Forerunner Sentinels over the Ark in 2559.
Service Record
The Enduring Conviction was a CAS-class assault carrier in the Covenant fleet in the final few years of the Human-Covenant War. Following the Great Schism, the ship remained under Sangheili control by shipmaster Let ‘Volir, though it eventually changed allegiances to the Banished in 2553. For the next six years, the ship stood as the flagship of the Banished forces, fighting against the UNSC Spirit of Fire during the Second Ark Conflict in 2559. Through the use of its glassing beam, the UNSC forces were able to trigger the Ark’s sentinels to attack the Enduring Conviction, slicing it in half and sending it to crash onto the surface of the Ark.
