Originally a UNSC logistics smart AI for the Henry Lamb Research Outpost, Isabel became the shipboard AI for the UNSC Spirit of Fire following the Banished attack on the outpost and arrival of the Spirit of Fire at the Ark.

Isabel is a smart AI built from the neural pathways of Anarosa Carmelo, a test pilot killed in an accident on Mars. She served as the logistics AI for the Henry Lamb Research Outpost on Installation 00 in early 2558, and served that facility until the entire station’s crew was killed by the Banished in late 2558. Isabel issued a distress beacon at that time, but with the portal to the Ark shutdown for unknown reasons earlier that year, no was was available to intercept it.
In March 2559, the UNSC Spirit of Fire arrived at the Ark via unknown means and picked up the distress call. During investigation, Isabel was recovered, though Spartan-II Red Team suffered casualties at the hands of Atriox. Isabel served as the shipboard AI for the Spirit of Fire from that point on, replacing the former AI Serina who dispositioned herself due to the onset of rampancy.
Isabel was vital in the survival of the Spirit of Fire and her crew, teaming with Jerome-092 to board the Banished ship Enduring Conviction and forcing the Ark’s sentinels to attack and destroy the ship. As of mid 2559, Isabel continues to serve as the shipboard AI for the Spirit of Fire.
