SUMMARY

The Installation 07 Conflict was a battle between UNSC forces and the Banished on Zeta Halo between December 12th, 2559 and May 31st, 2560.  The battle began as the Banished ambushed the UNSC Infinity and her fleet over Zeta Halo, already on station in an effort to intercept Cortana and shut down the Created for good. In the attack, the Infinity was apparently destroyed, and Master Chief John-117 was thrown into the vacuum of space.

Following the initial attack, the Banished spent the next six months intercepting and destroying the remaining UNSC forces, taking near full control of Zeta Halo and surrounding space by May 2560. In a stroke of luck, the Master Chief was discovered floating by surviving Pelican Echo 216, who managed to recover and rehabilitate the Spartan. This led to a reengagement of John-117 with the Banished forces and a resurgence by the few remaining UNSC marines on and around the ring.

Over the course of the next day, the Master Chief managed to rally the troops, including recovering the UNSC AI tasked with containing Cortana, The Weapon. He also successfully pushed into the Banished strongholds, killing several of the Hand of Atriox, acting Banished leader Escharum, and the only known member of a never-before-seen species known as the Harbinger.
