The Battle of Vodin was a Covenant invasion of the colony world of Vodin sometime in 2532.  Though the colony suffered severe damage from the attack, and was cut off from UNSC contact for ten years, some of its inhabitants survived and continued to call Vodin home. Included in these survivors was Randall-037, a Spartan-II who was thought KIA during the battle, but was brought back to health by the remaining colonists.
