SUMMARY
The Battle of Ealen IV was an attack on peace negotiations between the Sangheili and Jiralhanae on Ealen IV in the Ealen system in March 2558. The peace negotiations were being moderated by the UNSC, who was providing security for the event via the UNSC Infinity. The talks went awry when New Colonial Alliance member and UNSC defector Captain Daniel Clayton hired Covenant mercenaries to attack Ealen IV, which forced the Infinity to intervene. The Spartan-IV teams aboard the Infinity were able to stop the attack, but the peace talks were ended with no results. Four Spartan-IVs were killed in the attack, including Paul DeMarco and defector Vladimir Scruggs.
